“The Park Fire demonstrated how quickly a fire can move. We must stay vigilant right through the fall. I will always inform you of the latest in local emergency shelters for both you and your animals. We must navigate fire season together. It is a community concern, and I view keeping you informed as part of my job.” ~Mary
Mary also suggests using the Experience App or the Watch Duty App for the latest fire information and evacuation notices. Please, stay safe!

Shasta County is at a crossroads and voters in District 3 have the opportunity to determine which path we will take. It’s time to break away from divisive leadership and set our county on the path of true transparency, fiscal responsibility, collaboration and effective governance.
I’ve held positions ranging from membership on the State Board of Forestry and Fire Protection to the County Mental Health, Alcohol and Drug Advisory Board. In every role, I have been a voice for all those I represent. I work tirelessly toward lasting solutions. I am committed to reducing the impacts of crime and homelessness with a comprehensive approach that combines mental health and substance use treatment with criminal prosecution where appropriate. My track record of fair representation and real results is well-established.
I am a wife, mother and grandmother and Shasta County resident for 50 years. I am a rancher and co-owner of a professional agricultural business firm. I believe in independent thinking that represents all of Shasta County, not just a few. My faith, my family, my country and the principles of our founding fathers are what I stand for. Thank you.
Mary Rickert
District 3 Shasta County Supervisor
